Why DuckViz exists

Across fifteen years of shipping frontends — SIEM dashboards, a cross-product design system, infrastructure-as-code visualisations, a data-pipeline observability platform — four different companies, four different stacks. One pattern that never went away:

Someone exports a CSV. Someone else builds the dashboard by hand. The data is stale before the meeting starts. And the cycle repeats every Monday.

Enterprise BI tools are too heavy. Spreadsheets are too manual. And the newer wave of cloud-AI tools wants you to upload your data to a third party before it'll tell you anything useful — which is a non-starter if you're looking at customer records, finance exports, or production logs.

DuckViz is the tool I wished existed on every one of those jobs. You drop a file. AI reads the schema, not your rows. DuckDB-WASM runs the queries inside your browser — same engine data engineers already trust, now without a server.
